*Asian Sheet Masks: My Beauty Diary and Lioele - review

Because of the cold weather we had here this winter, my skin looked dull and lacked luminosity, that is why I decided that my face needed a little pampering, so I ordered some sheet masks from the same Beauteque online shop I told you about here and here. I personally like sheet masks because they are very potent, full of active ingredients, feel very refreshing and my skin looks and feels instantly better if chosen properly. I think they are more effective than masks that come in a tube.

I will try to review these three sheet masks and will tell you which one is my favorite and which one is not. I'm sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes, this week I've been sick...I can't concentrate pretty much right now...

Description:

Plumpness and transparency

The classic ingredient Collagen, is extracted from the marine collagen of Japanese deep sea fishes. This rich and nourishing element is essential to healthy skin. Hi-tech hydrolyzed marine elastin, has a plumping effect on skin giving it a firm and youthful look. With this youthful glow, the secret of your age is kept safe.

Firmness

The vitalizing and firming function of ginseng extracts is applied to activate and renew the skin. In addition, the rare green algae extract essence that come from the sea areas of France, continuously provide skin with intensive and long-lasting moisturization to refine skin texture.

How to Use: (this applies to all the three face masks)

1. Cleanse face thoroughly before applying mask
2. Excess essence from the packaging may be applied on the neck by massage
3.After 20 minutes, remove mask and gently massage face to assist absorption
4.Rinsing is not required
5.You may apply toner, moisturizer etc. after application
6. Use daily for maximum effect

My opinion:

In case you don't know, as we age the collagen in our bodies begin to deplete, this process usually beginning around the age of 25. To counteract the loss of collagen we should use collagen products that help replace the lost collagen and promote the development of new collagen. Applying collagen on our face we can reduce the signs of aging.

My Beauty Diary Collagen Firming Mask is a very good quality sheet mask and its purpose is intense plumpness. I find that my skin looks somehow plumped, firm and feels really soft and hydrated. It is a very saturated sheet mask, full of moist, it has a nice and delicate floral smell (from all the three masks, this one has the nicest smell), offering great hydration and feeling very refreshing. I really felt pampered using it. Even if you have enlarged pores, you can leave the jelly-like substance on the face cause it doesn't emphasize them, it actually minimize them a little. After removing sheet masks from your face, if you are happy with the one you use and don't have any irritation, just massage the substance into the skin, don't wash it, it would be a waste of product!

They say it is suitable for all skin types (I have normal to oily skin) and I find it especially good for skin lacking elasticity and skin with lines and wrinkles. It is an excellent mask for aging skin and I'm sure that regular use (I wouldn't use it everyday as they say, but two times a week seems reasonable) will offer even better results!

Description:

Toning and whitening

Combining the active ingredients from the black pearl together with extracts from the marine and plants, it enhances the hydration of the skin improving radiance. Natural vitamin C extracted from plant essence helps to exfoliate gently, removing dead skin on the surface. This allows for deep moisturizing, improving skin elasticity, energizing the skin for a healthy, radiant look.

My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask
My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask

My opinion:

My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask is the second mask I chose from Beauteque online shop. It is another sheet mask heavily soaked with essence (so soaked that it ends up on my hair a little when lying down) that helps with toning and whitening skin. It is another mask that my sensitive skin felt comfortable with, it didn't irritate it in any way. I must admit I was afraid to try it because of the whitening property, I thought it would be pretty strong for my skin, but it was gentle enough not to cause any irritation. Its smell reminds me of baby powder:). Like the first one I reviewed, this one leaves my skin fresh, toned and hydrated and I noticed my enlarged pores in my T-zone seemed smaller. I also have some minor skin discolorations on my face and they seemed less evident after using this mask, my skin looking more even and brighter.

Lioele Perfect Collagen Essence Mask

Description: Lioele Perfect Collagen Essence Mask contains marine collagen and various natural ingredients such as ginko, algae, and mulberry extract to deeply moisturize and supply nutrients to skin to make it soft, supple, and treat aging problems.

My opinion: Lioele Perfect Collagen Essence Mask was sent as a gift by Beauteque. After my crash with Lioele Beyond the Solution BB cream I mentioned here, I was expecting another great product from Lioele. Unfortunately, this didn't impress me in any way: when I opened it, it had a strong smell of alcohol:(. It also failed to impress me with its effects: I felt my skin was not hydrated at all and it managed to emphasized my pores, I noticed a shiny orange peel texture on my cheeks, really ugly. Another thing I didn't like was the stickiness. But there are some pro's
1. it did not irritate my skin;
2. it is deeply soaked with essence.
