Lately I've seen Younique products being reviewed on many blogs. When Tracy - a Younique independent presenter - reached out to me, I was happy and eager to try their bestselling Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes to see what was all about, cause I admit I was quite confused when I saw how it looked.

All Younique beauty products are naturally based makeup, paraben free, carcinogen free, free of harmful chemicals, cruelty free, hypoallergenic (especially the term hypoallergenic appeals to me!) and many of them are gluten free

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes set is a 'new eyelash enhancing duo that provides a 300% increase in thickness and volume to your lashes while still looking completely real and natural.' The set consists of the following:

- a Moodstruck Transplanting Gel, which is a black gel that comes with an hourglass shaped wand

and

- a Moodstruck Natural Fibers, which looks quite interesting, you can see it in the photos:

They both come in a sturdy case which I admit it is not so appealing to me.

How to use:

1. Apply a thin coat of your favorite regular mascara on both sets of lashes. Let dry.
2. Apply an even coat of Transplanting Gel on lashes.
3. Quickly, before the gel has time to dry, apply fibers onto lashes.
4. Seal the fibers with another coat of Transplanting Gel.

My experience with Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

I did all the steps above and I did not have a hard time applying it (for a more natural look and if you are in a hurry, you might skip the regular mascara, that's what I do when I am in a hurry and the natural fibers still offer me great length and volume).

A 'before and after' picture (keep in mind that in the first picture my lashes are coated in regular mascara):

1. Regular mascara only / 2. Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

And the final result on both eyes ... excuse my red eyes :D

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

I have to say that I prefer how my lashes look in real life, they really look ok, the close up photos are not so great.
I don't have a lash comb to use, but they advise to use a lash comb to separate lashes and eliminate clumps.

I also haven't tried to apply 2 or more layers of natural fibers as I am pretty happy with the result, but if you have short, thin lashes and you need more length and volume, you can apply more layers of fiber lashes, just be careful not to get them into your eyes.
It didn't happen to me while using Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes, but it happened while removing my Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara which also has fibers and it stung so badly, I couldn't keep my eye open.

It is a water resistant product, but I removed it easily with my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

That being said, although I don't think it gives a 300% more length and volume to my lashes, I'm pretty impressed with the volume and length the Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes offers (with or without the use of a regular mascara prior to applying it). Actually, I prefer to use it without a regular mascara which is good, cause it takes less time and less money :).
It is also a great choice if you want a dramatic effect, especially for night outs, it offers huge length and volume to your lashes, especially if applied in more layers!
